A sage inspired wedding in San Diego // Melissa + Erik

Melissa and Erik’s sage inspired wedding was one for the books! I met Melissa and Erik in college and it was a joy to see their relationship grow and such an honor to be able to photograph their wedding. I love building relationships with my couples and it makes it even more amazing when someone in my life thinks of me when it comes to capturing their big day!

Their wedding was hosted at the Thursday Club in San Diego and let me tell you I thought this venue was absolutely charming. It seemingly pops up out of nowhere in the middle of a residential neighborhood, but this venue really has it all. It has an intimate feeling, but was large enough to accommodate a fairly large group.

I love when couples bring their own twist to touches throughout the day, and I am also a huge sucker for dessert, and these two knocked the sweets situation out of the park! Melissa is an amazing baker and handmade AMAZING his and hers cookies (so good I had to contact Melissa after the wedding to get the recipe. THAT GOOD!). In addition to the life-altering cookies they had an assortment of amazing pies instead of a traditional cake cutting, which I loved.

I was so honored to be able to capture Melissa and Erik’s big day and I wish them all the happiness!
