Downtown Los Angeles Wedding \\ Sarah + Darin

Downtown Los Angeles is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you’re going to get. I have been right next door to the Alexandria Ballrooms (visiting the always awesome Last Bookstore – it’s pretty awesome, if you’re in the area check it out!), but never knew this amazing space was just a crosswalk away. The day started out at the amazing Level where the bride and her ladies enjoyed a glass of champagne, opened their bridesmaids gifts (Sarah went all out getting all her ladies matching Vans shoes, and custom YSL lipsticks with the case engraved with their names!), and got ready for the day. We headed down to the lobby for an urban first look and captured some beautiful portraits in the heart of downtown. I’m such a huge fan of urban weddings! It’s such a great way to capture not only beautiful moments between the bride and groom, but also the heart and soul of a city. While you won’t hear me complaining about having a session on a mountain top in Iceland (one of my dream destinations!), there is something so beautiful and unique about the hustle and bustle of a city swirling around a couple, as time stands still for them on their special day.

Level was such a great place for Sarah and her ladies to get ready as it was literally just around the corner from the incredible Alexandria Ballrooms. The glitz and glamor of this space in the heart of downtown Los Angeles is truly unparalleled. We had such a blast exploring all the hidden stair cases and nooks of this sprawling modern yet elegant venue. Truly such an honor to spend such an amazing time in an amazing venue with amazing people! (did I say amazing enough? :P)
