MALIBU MOUNTAIN ENGAGEMENT \\ JESSICA + CHRIS

One of the (many) amazing things about what I do as a photographer is getting to explore new places. I am a born and raised Southern Californian, but there are so many hidden gems in this big beautiful state that I am constantly surprised. Who knew there were such beautiful mountains and open wilderness so close to the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles!? I had an absolute ball running around the hills of Malibu Creek State Park with these two! Jessica and Chris have an amazing adventurous spirit, and were looking for an beautiful and wild location to fit their bohemian vibe. Malibu Creek State Park was the perfect space! Unfortunately in Southern California we don’t have the beautiful lush redwood forest of places like Northern California or Washington, but boy do we have some majestic mountain ranges! I love a couple who isn’t afraid of getting a little dirty, or hiking (in high heels no less – go Jessica!) to find that perfect light. Chasing the light and exploring the hills while capturing the unique love between these two was an absolute joy.
