ADVENTUROUS DESERT ENGAGEMENT IN VAZQUEZ ROCKS \\ JACKIE + TYLER

I’m going to be honest with you…the desert is not my natural habitat. Even though I grew up in the an area where a 105 degree afternoon was just another summer day, I can tell you my fair, freckled skin was not made for it. All of that could not have stopped be from shooting Jackie and Tyler’s engagement session in the beautiful Southern California desert! I was so incredibly excited to frolic around Vazquez Rocks with the gorgeous and adventurous couple.

The ruggedly beautiful rock formations made a stunning backdrop complimenting their outfit choices. One thing is for sure, this couple has style! Jackie had two dress for the day, a short playful red number, and a floor-length navy blue option, both of which popped against the more muted desert palette. I loved how Jackie’s dresses caught the wind and created movement as we explored the gorgeous terrain. And I can’t forget Tyler, I mean look at that watch! Killing the accessory game. These two were so sweet and fun to hang out with. I love a couple who isn’t afraid to climb, laugh, run and get a little dusty with me!

I’ve been hearing such wonderful things about Joshua Tree lately, but I have to say Vazquez Rocks is a perfect spot for an intimate and adventurous desert engagement photo session, and for those of us from the Los Angeles area, it’s quite a bit closer! While I would love to get out to Joshua Tree sometime soon, I have to give it up for Vazquez Rocks as another dazzling, sun-soaked engagement location.
